YONDER. Cactus Cushion, Terracotta

The YONDER. Cactus Cushions are handwoven in Morocco from natural Agave cactus silk, known as Sabra. The traditional motifs are handwoven and embroidered by Berber women using techniques passed down from generation to generation, with natural botanical and vegetable dyes creating their distinctive faded, sun-kissed colours.

Think of these as sisters, not twins. 

These cushions are very handmade – and we mean very. No two are the same and variations between individual cushions can be considerable. Colours and motifs vary, embroidery is irregular, shapes aren't perfectly square, and you should expect loose threads, uneven finishes and areas of fading or sun bleaching. Some are much more faded than others, which happens to be one of the things we love most about them.

If you like things pristine, symmetrical and perfectly finished, these probably aren't for you. But if you love old textiles, faded colours, wonky handmade details and pieces that look as though they've had a life before they reached you, that's exactly where their charm lies.

Sizes and proportions also vary considerably from cushion to cushion, so all dimensions are approximate.
